i've noticed my online communications are stratifying between my social and techie relationships.  neither group has a particular interest in the other.

once upon a time we went to work do "do our jobs" and came home to do everything else.  probably we still need a line like that.  my LinkedIn contacts only have a few of my MySpace or FaceBook contacts, for example.  maybe social networking/communication sites should default to provid for this split somehow.  or do we simply maintain dual id's everywhere we use a tool in a dual-purpose way.
