Hello fellow earthlings.

I have had this idea and I am working on making it my innovation. I
have a provisional patent, and realize going forward with a utility
patent may be 15k to 20k waste of money. However, I just recieved my NOTICE OF ALLOWANCE for a Trade
Mark, and need to either create an extension or a statement of use.

what is my point - I hear ya

I am having fun playing inventer, and now on an even path (not as insane as before).

My idea is simple.

Add
a GUID (globally unique id) to all products allowing customers the
option to attach the recovery id(guid) to their online profile(GOOGLE
are you hearing this?)

So Besides all electrons having a make
model and serial number, they would include a recovery id. So every
time you make a purchase you have the option to register your ipod or
iphone with a web service, and any GOOD SAMARITAN could easily notify
the owner and say you left your ipod at starbucks, the manager has it
in the safe.

Of course part of this equasion is having everyone know what a recovery id is, and an other part is having everyone agreeing with nici(bad speller) that "people are good".
