Not a member of Fast Company, but want to connect and share with other members on the site without setting up yet another social profile? Well, we've got a solution, and it's called Facebook Connect. We've hooked it up so that you can log in to this site with your Facebook account.

To log into Fast Company using your Facebook account, click on the "Sign in Using Facebook" button at the top right of any page, or click on any comment or story link and then click on the "Connect with Facebook" button and log in with your Facebook username and password. We'll bring over your Facebook profile picture and profile name, and you'll be able to comment on any article--and you'll have a profile on Fast Company now too. With that profile you'll be able to not only comment, but you can also join Groups related to your business interests.
To learn more about the site and how it functions, read our FAQ, and be sure to check out our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy as well so that you understand both your rights and responsibilities as a user of the site. With that all said, welcome to Fast Company.

Very cool. but there was an issue. the loaded frame had facebooks footer and the chat bar in it as well so i had to scroll to the right to find the connect button.

That was much easier than setting up an account. I think FBC will be great for bringing information and people together on wwww

I believe we've worked out the kinks with Connect, all your feedback is appreciated. And thanks to everyone from Facebook for assisting with the integration.

Playing with FastCompany implementation of Facebook Connect. Nice to see it in action but I don't quite have the mental model yet.

Yes, this is definitely slick. Nice job.

Welcome to the future of the Internet :) Facebook Connect is easily allowing all sites to virally interact with the largest active userbase in the world!

i was thinking of adding this to my site (chloregy.org), do you guys find it useful? and also when someone logs in, does facebook share their info so that they become like a registered user? so you know who they are?

Genius !

Had no problem adding the app via FastCompany.com, but you guys might want to spruce up your app's info page on the Facebook side and make the connection more explicit. Kudos!

Leveraging Facebook's social network to provide feedback on fastcompany.com web site is awesome.

I noticed that your FAQ section mentions that users will see "Find Groups" at the top right by the search box on every page...I'm not seeing this for some reason. Please advise. Otherwise, I love new look!
February 22, 2009 at 1:42pm by Brian Blackburn
sorry about the multiple posts. Not sure what happened.
February 22, 2009 at 8:03pm by Lynne d Johnson
Thanks Brian. I'll clean up the multiple posts. But for the "Find Groups" just go to fastcompany.com/groups for now. That FAQ also has to be updated, that was from last year's incarnation of the site.

@Dominik Zynis
Yes, when a user logs in here at Fast Company, Facebook shares some basic profile information (name, photo, etc.) We use that to start your profile on FastCompany.com.

Nice.

Meh. Although I have a facebook account, I regularly consider deleting it. The privacy concerns popping up in the facebook realm are too worrisome for me to get involved any further. I'll continue logging in with my separate Fast Company account, although I do like the idea of enabling OpenID.

Here is a brilliant new tool from one of my all-time favorite magazines, or really my all-time favorite "things to read" in general. Check it out. If you like Fast Company magazine and have a facebook profile, you'll love Facebook Connect.

OMG!!! FastCompany is deleting my negative comments...further proof that they do not know how to run a successful networking site!! Seriously? Delete my account, please!! I've only been attempting to do this for MONTHS!
Seriously Lynn, censorship? Work that spin, FC!!

It would be great to see OpenID supported.
