Accountabilty in the new world

As always I pay attention to what the collective is talking about and the word of the week appears to be accountability!  It begins as far as I can tell with each of us individually- what am I doing, saying, being that doesn’t align with who I am or what I am about!  Interestingly enough, I advocate for a slowing down to figure this out- quit doing and spend some time being- thinking, feeling sensing.  Look around- what isn’t working in your life or your business- what can be carved away?  This was a topic of conversation at a business meeting this week and also at a job site. The job site conversation occurred after a lay-off of the manager and the downsizing of services. Times of huge change, to be sure.  Times of each of us realizing we have the power to change our lives, if we step into more accountability and stop relying on old structures.

Right now I am feeling the immediate effects of being out of alignment- the twitching of my eye or an uncomfortable feeling I get in the midst of a conversation- the other things to look at are things like illness, loss of job, financial concerns.  After we have seen we are out of alignment, what next.. it can be as simple as beginning that conversation that has been on your mind for months or asking that question of your boss or partner that you have feared the answer to- beginning in the “I don’t know” and allowing the possibilities to come forth- not basing everything on past experiences or thoughts that are in your mind.  The next question to ask is how can I step things up- again- what can be carved away, what else can I create, what catalyst can I bring in to help me!  These are interesting times and it seems to me the only way to thrive is to begin a practice of creating more and more clarity!!!  And remember (as I sometimes have to remind myself), it is a process, not an event!  Structures to assist you in keeping this practice are highly recommended- it may be the catalyst you require!

Until later,
