Obama's Leadership Challenge

I believe as Alaina Love says in BusinessWeek (Obama's Leadership Challenge) that it is possible to be successful in this great compromise.I believe the president will need at least six basic issues that must be preached and practiced by him, and accepted and followed with devotion for all his team and by the entire nation.

- Will be mandatory to make emphasis and to return to the basic values of a developed society such as the ethics, transparency, honesty, discipline, respect and tolerance.

- He will need to mold a new vision for his great nation, vision to assure and maintain the leadership that they always has had and today has been threaten. That new vision should be borne in the education, the science, the technology, the complete knowledge to carry out each one of the tasks in each front of work.A certain State intelligence that assures that America will no repeat some errors of the past.

- He should develop a simple but objective plan, in which the basic problems must be defined with its possible solutions, the priorities and the strategies necessary to carry them to completion.

- As Alaina comments, It is imperative to be surrounded permanently by a highly performance team.A Team of people compromised with those ideals and willing to give example with his own conduct. The consequence should be the major value of leaders that accompany him in this immense task.

- They will need a continuous improvement and a rational and modern self-control for all activities, to guarantee that any action in each front, maintain the established parameters.

- Finally, It will be necessary a great commitment in matter of relations and precise and clear communications with all the actors, internal and external.

The speech of Mr. President Obama is exactly a tremendous message of change and hope.

Each one of these basic aspects has a place in his speech when we read its content with care; I believe that is a new language for his Nation and for the world.Something very similar to what I have called MBS as language of the 21st century, for any organization with the adequate adjustments. Something that I have permitted me to remit to his team of change.gov and before his election.

In summary, Mr. Obama will require a team composed only by Five Star Managers in the modern sense.
