Many organizations and individuals responded to this tragedy with action and Nissan is proud to do their part. Through financial support in the sum of $100,000 Nissan is meeting suffering with relief. Scott Becker, Senior Vice-President, Administration and Finance, Nissan North America stated, “Recovery in Haiti will be very difficult and will take years to accomplish after a disaster of this magnitude. We want to do our part immediately and in the future to help those affected by the earth quake in a time of critical need.” The tone set by Nissan North America has resonated throughout several local Nissan dealerships including Long Island Nissan Dealers. Massapequa Nissan’s Internet Sales Manager Paul Coppola commented on this tragedy, “It is easy to remember that Nissan builds great cars because they practically sell themselves but knowing that our parent company shares the same principle of helping others sincerely makes Nissan a great company to work for. Every member of the Massapequa Nissan family is looking forward to being a part of Nissan’s plans for future support of the Haitian people. I hope Long Island Nissan dealers stay focused on what we can give and not what we can sell.” Massapequa Nissan is a member of the NY Auto Giant the largest provider of Long Island used cars.

Nissan has a long history of responding to the needs of others and working together with great organizations such as the American Red Cross, Salvation Army, Habitat for Humanity and Second Harvest Food Bank.
