So Brazilian weaves or treebraids- which one uses less tools?

Brazilian Weaves use either very thick thread, or a rubber band technique of attaching hair. Both techniques are used with resounding success, however preference vary by stylist, or even customer. Treebraids use nothing else than additional hair for the cornrows.
