A recent Op-Ed by Nicholas Kristof at nytimes.com talks about how an Obama victory has the opportunity to significantly (and positively) re-brand America in the eyes of the world. In fact, polls in foreign countries run 4 to 1 in his favor.

But Senator Obama's campaign has advanced the concept of branded response with marketing professionls. What can be accomplished in terms of branding and response marketing has been redifined. The Obama campaign has been masterful here. In September the campaign raised $150 million, a mind-boggling amount, but the average contribution was just $86 because Obama's outreach efforts engaged 632,000 new contributors, according to this article in The Independent.

Obama promised change. He wasn't kidding.
