For all you Green guys out there, a Eureka Upright Vacuum can
actually help the air quality in your home!  That and pick up dirt from
your floor.  Who would have thought?  And you can even use it on floors
that aren’t carpeted!

Really—some upright vacuums add to their primary role with recent
technologies that can clean the air, in addition to picking up dirt on
the floor.  Cyclonic systems is one such technology, that contains the
air inside the vacuum mechanism, then puts it through a HEPA filter
before pushing it out into the room again. You can see the potential
benefits to all asthma and allergy sufferers.  HEPA filters trap fine
particles (think airborne pollen and dust mite excrement—ughh!) that
can trigger problems for such people.

That’s impressive, particularly when one thinks that the original
HEPA filter was invented in during World War II and was used in the
Manhattan Project to trap airborne radioactive particles.

The technology is quite interesting.  HEPA filters are made of a mat
of fibres of fiberglass between 0.5 and 2.0 micron.  That’s pretty
small, and one can imagine that they would catch a lot of the
problematic particles in the air of  your house.  The filter intercepts
the bad particles and traps them by making them adhere to the filter.

Bagless Cleaners on the Eureka Upright Vacuum

I’m sure you’re all tired of changing those dirty, dusty bags from
your upright.  Well the Eureka Upright Vacuum and the Dyson Upright Vacuum is a bagless cleaner, so
not only can you avoid spreading more dirt in the air because no bag
change is needed, you can also save money by not having to buy
replacement bags.

Let’s look at one Eureka Upright Vacuum model—the Sanitaire 4570.
Eureka is the oldest and most well known in the business.  It has a
fully sealed HEPA motor—unrivaled by other makes.  Traditionally
marketed to commercial users, it’s designed to be run 8 hours a day,
each day of the week, so it could well last a lifetime for you.  That
would save you money over the long term as well.

The Eureka Upright Vacuum Sanitaire 4570 includes a double ball
bearing design, that’s meant to last twice as long as ordinary domestic
vacuums.  It has a heat protection design to keep it from overheating,
and a really long cord—50 feet—that makes it easy to avoid plugging in,
then moving the plug repeatedly around your house when you clean.  It
has some great tools, including a dusting brush made of horsehair, and
it has adjustments for 7 levels of carpet.  This model has a lot of
suction power, with a wider than usual base, so you can cover more
floor area with each pass, along with a bristle ball bearing brush roll
that really adds to the sucking power, and even the belt can be changed
easily.
