First Drag

I remember my first drag on the electronic cigarette.

It took place last summer - my mother was the one who had spotted it on a tv ad. 

She ordered one all the way from China, where they have apparently been around for several years. 

It came in a little black box, already charged up. I put it in my mouth and sucked - the end lit up red and a smooth smoke entered my mouth. 

I inhaled, blew out and watched to smoke swirl out of my mouth. 

 Except it wasn't true smoke, but stage smoke. Which meant no tar, no checmicals, and no carcinogens.  No smell either, or any danger of passive smoking.

 And when people in the local pub didn't believe it was a cigarette, I soon gathered some street cred by grinding it out on my arm!
