Speaking of lean manufacturing, today's Boston Globe includes an article looking at several recent lean manufacturing projects in Massachusetts. While lean manufacturing aims to develop shorter, faster, and less expensive processes, its productivity and competitiveness gains can still bring job reductions.

While at least one reader of Bill Jensen's book Simplicity sees parallels between his work and lean manufacturing, I'm curious whether Bill's had any experience with the practice. Bill?
