Hey there, welcome to ClassicCelebrations! Mobile Music!
What's up everyone?
There are lots of folks who've written in and asked for ClassicCelebrations! Mobile Music DJ training outlines. The response you all made prompted me to look at the BC ClassicCelebrations! start-up again. So I did and I came up with a training-based program, which I have explained below and in a little Sound Byte which I produced for you all!
The more you think about it, the more you realize that the demand for new Mobile DJs, in fact all kinds of DJs, in BC for the upcoming season 2009 /2010 is going to be HUGE!
As we near the 2010 Olympics, with the number of events and celebrations multiplying daily, we can assume that at least 100 new DJs will be needed in the Vancouver area alone! Maybe a lot more.
The skills that will be needed will include:
also covering..
Thus, the demand for Mobile DJs who are knowledgeable and skilled in what they do is more precisely what we are looking at, not releasing rookie DJs with a superficial knowledge onto an unsuspecting public.
Working with FM 104.9 The Greatest Hits of all Time and similar quality services and getting people to know and enjoy the top hits of all time will be one of our goals.
ClassicCelebrations! original game-plan was to train 3 or 4 DJs for our own company in BC, but now we have about 100 (plus) applications, growing daily.
I have to see this as a separate business opportunity. I am in the DJ training business but not on this scale, until now. To change from 3 or 4 to over 100 is a switch. However, a large group of trainees can be broken into smaller groups.
We could charge for the training and eliminate our non-competition agreements: in other words, this would allow now newly trained Mobile DJs to work for who-ever they like at the end of the training.
So, are we offering jobs..well yes (a few), and no. We cannot provide all of you with jobs. We will not expand that fast, as we are in relocation mode, but the need out there is so unbelievable for the next 2 years that the jobs will take care of themselves.
If all of the people who have asked for outlines, sign-up and complete our DJ training over 6 months, and started playing as self employed DJs by 2009/2010, I believe that the need for DJs will be met in BC in 2009, and we will be rocking into the Olympics! There is no need to have American Mobile DJs flood our local market.
Firstly, only a few pages (3) of Training Outline have gone out. This is due mainly to a production problem (aka me) which occurred when I realized how mny requests were coming in. So Page 4 of the Training Outline had to be reprocessed for the new game plan.
I want to see how our suggestion goes over! Your response will speak. If you say yes, this would mean that ClassicCelebrations! Mobile Music will focus on training until mid-2009. But, our mission statement will have changed to meet the new training need that has been demonstrated by your respponse. If trained DJs were a dime a dozen, you would not all be asking for training and we know that skilled Mobile DJs in Lower Mainland BC are a little like hen's teeth: you just cannot find enough of them!
Once training is over, ClassicCelebrations! will release a lot of highly skilled Mobile DJs with Certificates of Competency and a wealth of skills and training. We cannot do training for free unfortunately.
It costs manpower, trainers, use of expensive equipment and insurance. So we will charge for the training. The charge is $480 over a maximum of 6 months ($80 per month). Of course for new trainees, the question is: should I pay for training, or go out as a roadie for free? I'll let you answer that, but my thoughts are that there are almost no training facilities or companies who want to train Mobile DJs. Training as a roadie is hit and miss. And you get what you pay for: it's free, or almost free.
Trained Mobile DJs can be self employed, or work employed for from $16 to $35 per hour. You don't want to accept less than that unless you're an unskilled roadie tagging along. I am saying, trained you can ask for this as a trained DJ: $16 to $35 per hour.
We are a reputable company: we will safeguard your money and will use a safe transfer method like PayPal.
As for out training, some training we provide will be in your bedroom on computer, following lesson plans on the internet (hail technology!), some on DJ equipment and in a small group and some in a simulated "live" situation and some actually live in at least one gig (there is a live practicum for every trainee!). This is guaranteed.
Because we will customise the training for each individual. But you should brush up on your skills, get some live training in front of your peers, get core MC skills, mixing, do beat-mixing, get acquainted with DJ software, know Acapellas and DJ tools and know all sorts of functional music for Weddings, Anniversaries, Corporate functions, Club, Teen and High School celebrations.
The voice clip attached provides more details. Once you have listened to the clip, please email me, DJ Graham at classiccelebrations@live.ca and ask for Page 4 of the Training Outline, onwards. There is no obligation at this point, just an interest in what we have to offer.
Please realize that it is an Outline, so there is no need to fill in the sections yet. We will run through each step on the pages later on after our Intake Meeting with you. Please don't ask how the first meeting will look like now, but I will figure out a great place and time to meet you all. Not all at once. Haha!
Please always feel free to follow up with me, and ask, as two-way communication on a constant basis, and is very necessary in this business. Please check out the attached Sound Byte in which I explain a few things in more detail.
I would like to take on this challenge and I guarantee our best training. You pay per month, so if not satisfied you can stop at any time, and there is no requirement to continue, so it has no risk to you. We are providing excellent, skilled trainers, who know the music and the equipment: guaranteed. Did I say you can bail out at any time, and not pay another cent? Yes, but you won't want to: it'll be that good. Did I say I guarantee it? Of course!
While what you are looking at is a little amateurish, you can rest assured that my enterpreneurial spirit has been stimulated, and if the response is sufficient we will move to a formal e-commerce site, with Amazon or Yahoo!-like facilities.
Just bear with me while we move through the Outline and then let's see what the next step is. You will not be laying out a cent until it's all ready to go. All I need is for you to follow along.
My own background includes DJ company ownership since 1976, a B. Comm. business degree, a Life Skills Coaching certficate, drumming and music writing abilities. I am 53 so don't feel bad, I've had the time to do a few things.
I have a wide knowledge of digital music. However, I will hire experts to deliver training, while I oversee and snoop (but don't snoopervise!) on everything!Your $80 per month can be cancelled at any time!
The goal is to have a top notch EXCELLENT training program..I guarantee it. Trainees will be assessed at each step.
All the best..I look forward to hearing from you..!
DJ Graham
