For a lusher single-plant look, try using Abelias for abundant foliage
that adds interest after it stops flowering. Two great varieties are
Kaleidescope, with its green, gold and red foliage, or the creamy
yellow and green-leafed Sunrise Variegated. A great
conversation-starter is the Elephant Ear Black Magic, with its huge
purple-black leaves. This plant looks fantastic in a colorful, glazed
container.

A trip to Bali or Hawaii may not be on the horizon, but a tropical
garden could bring the romance of an exotic locale right into your
backyard. The look is lush and seductive, abounding in striking colors
and contrasts. Shocking pink, chartreuse, lemon yellow, burgundy and
orange can be set off to brilliant advantage by the deep greens of
tropical foliage. Surprisingly, many tropical-looking plants can
withstand cooler temperatures, so don't limit your ideas...think wild.

planters and raised-garden kits now available at most garden centers.
Whether you choose pots made from recycled copper, plastic, or even
rubber to anchor your tender shoots, it all helps make a difference –
plus you end up with a fabulous-looking garden.

state-of-the-art and energy efficient. High roofs with venting increase
circulation naturally. The boilers used to heat the greenhouses are
high efficiency, helping to reduce the amount of fuel needed to provide
the optimum growing environment for our plants. The irrigation system
was engineered to use the least amount of energy possible to water the
plants.
