Fast, and Not So Fast

OK, so I really like FastCompany.  Consistently good, compelling articles  . . . but I don't read it, I listen to the magazine that I download from audible.com.   I have too many trade magazines and email newsletters to contend with at work to sit down and really read the extended features.  So, I turned my L.A. commute (and I've got one of the shorter ones, under half an hour) into a time to listen to FastCompany.  Yay, Fast!

Not Fast:  Imagine my excitement when I saw  Article: Fast Company's Best of 2007: Innovators, Books, and Trends.  Terrific!  I love it when FC makes things nice and easy.  Now, if you just clicked the link, you found yourself at a slideshow.  Slideshows aren't fast, they're pageview builders.  While I understand the need to increase pageviews (can we say monetization?) I think FC should always, always, always give its consumers at least the option to do things as "fast" as possible.  Slideshows may be fine for some, but they're just not fast enough for me.
