Okay, I come here and there is nothing out there. Well, I'll be first then. Think about this 2015 is not that far away. The majority of Americans (Baby Boomers will be in their 50's. They have begun retirement just five years earlier. How much of a drain will that be on Social Security? How much of a drain will that be on local taxes in Tallahassee? Do we have the leadership in place to deal with it? Will we have the leadership in place to deal with it? Is our county and city government going in the right direction or are we coming up and dealing with plan #126 on how to fix the French Town area and the downtown as well?
I've been here only five years but I can tell all ready that there are problems and it is much easier to just hide them then deal with them. What can we do? Should we do anything or just do like our leaders and hide our heads and close our eyes? We vote them in so we have to carry some of the responsibilities of our government. Should we change to maybe a strong mayor type of government? Is there another answer?

George: I appreciate your forward thinking regarding my home town. I was born and raised in Tallahasse. I now reside in Washington, DC. I do think there need to be more people like you who are willing to take a look in to the future. Many cities up North are preparing for the future. I think French Town could be the Mecca of the city, with fine restaruants and stores. Take a look at what they are doing in Silver Spring, Md. With in 5-8 years it has changed tremendously. Let me know what part I can play, my family still resides in Tallhasse. I graduated from Leon High School, as a child I lived on Brevard Street.
