Wherever you are, whatever language you speak, you can use eBay -- thanks to the Internet trading powerhouse's relentless expansion over the last year. EBay says it will increase its share in South Korean online marketplace, Internet Auction Co. Ltd., to 86% from 62% and will acquire all remaining IAC stocks.
Earlier this week, Fast Company writer Lucas Conley talked with the leaders of Craig's List about eBay's acquisition of a 25% share of the business. Last month, eBay purchased India's Baazee.com, and in April it bought Germany's mobile.de.
While eBay is in a buying spree this year, Amazon is not to be left behind and said it would foray into China. The Internet continues to make markets borderless, but do we really need only one or two e-commerce superpowers? EBay says it'll let local markets do things their own way and won't meddle with their management. And perhaps the company is only interested in money -- getting a huge share of the pie, especially in developing markets. Do you think the ongoing expansion of eBay and Amazon is good for online shoppers?

Absolutely,
Specially for small businesses who need the reach that only eBay can give them globally to either source the most competitive goods and service and then to sell their finished goods and service worldwide.
As someone wrote this will go a long way in promoting the One person global company

eBay has been phenomenal for online shoppers, and also for small businesses that use the eBay platform to sell.
eBay has been responsible for putting hundreds of thousands -- maybe millions -- of small businesses "in business." My niece runs an eBay business and even left her full-time job to grow it because it is doing so well. But her business would not be nearly as profitable if she had to incur the overhead of a brick-and-mortar storefront.
I'm also convinced that eBay has great foresight on where the hot eCommerce markets will be exploding in the future. You can pretty much predict these hot markets by following where eBay makes its global acquisitions.

eBay's billing system has me too upset to even comment on their acquiring new businesses. They can't even run the company they have effectively. Click onto the link for posts on eBay's forum about the billing issues going on since February of this year.
