It is always a great aha! moment whenever you capture yourself doing a klutzy thing - for if I am transfering my personal orientated tweets to my blog, then I don't need all the paraphenelia of twitter shortform, though I will include it below as a social courtesy, but I really need to be more with it in regards to these habitual mindlocks. If people re-tweet, then I can re-design my social media experience - it is the same principle but on a much more local scale. I'm noticing that I am picking up tweets of more or less the same group of names, and this is a handful compared to the 24 twitter profiles I am following. I still don't understand why there is incessant push to "have more followers" - to use the next and greatest Twitter tool to get "more followers" - but in the greater and grander of scheme of things, what does that really have to do with me? If there are 4 people and one of them behaves like me, I will call that a problem - but if you have 4 Million, it don't matter diddly squat - for then I am just a grain of sand on the Twitter beach. (OK shut up and post this and get on with life) Worth repeating again and again that I am thinking out aloud, and that this is what "Twenty Tweets" and FREEDOM OASIS is all about . . . duh! action learning - learning by engaging (and even doing)...

RT@jowyang says...Someday, I'll publish a book. I ask CEOs "what are the 3 things you've learned being a CEO" One common theme? Focus
6.
One word answers like "Focus" are always dangerous but I agree with Owyang it is key - as long as what means focus includes the roadwork/prep

The tussle between software behemoths always holds a fascination for me, because it can teach us how to sort hyperbole from insider realities

I had heard of Milan Kundera good to be aware of the Czech literary pedigree - much better than echoing platitudes from armchair protesters!

From there I stumbled onto Granta (what a fab resource Wikipedia is) now this is only serendipity if it closes the loop with the yet unknown

John A. Byrne back in my upwardly mobile perspective - simply because of volume of interesting content (though I'm a bit miffed it's all BW)

Still a long way to go before I have twitter purring to "My Way" but there is good evidence that if I am smart about use, it will be great !
18.
"Trending Topics" should be called "Herd-Instinct American Style" - look at it "Bill Clinton" "North Korea" "Kim Jong-il" 3 topics (1 story)
19.
Ah! I descended into the mucky-mucky of instant porridge criticism - why should I care if there is trending no trending topic - (bad habit)
