The Self-Prescribing Media Doctor #9

There is something about Helmut Newton's pictures that have this raw power built into them.  Photography is a class on its own in terms of how it enables us to look at our own world.  Online, Dominic Kamp is one individual whose pictures I find breathtaking. 

We can never value the true art in photography until we have operated a sophisticated camera and made a pigs ear out of it.  Yet we live in a world where everybody is clicking everybody but in that click paradise, there are few who stop and look, and then look some more. 

To learn to stop is the first rule, before any photograph can have a date with our soul.
