Marketing 101: Puma's Jamaican Love Affair

With sweeps in the men's and women's 100m, and gold in the 200 and 4x100 relays, Jamaica Track and Field has put itself on top with some of the worlds best sprinters. To top it off men's sprinter, 21-yr old Usain Bolt set the world record in both the 100 and 200 Meters. His historic olympic victories provided his shoe sponsor, Puma AG, with an unexpected boost in publicity on the global stage. But the German Footwear brand's reaction has been laid back and easy like sunday morning. The complete opposite of its new flamboyant face.
