Ohio health insurance rates are changing in July for one major carrier-Aetna. Most of Aetna's Ohio health insurance plans are increasing by approximately 5%-15%. PPO plans will tend to see the highest rate increases. Catastrophic plans, such as the Preventative Hospital care polices, and Health Savings Accounts (HSAs) may see lower increases.
Despite the rate increase, Aetna's Ohio plans are still very competitively priced. In most areas, especially, the Dayton, Cincinnati and Columbus areas, Aetna provides solid coverage at a low rate. Higher deductible plans, such as the PPO 5000, are among the most popular Aetna plans.
