CYFS Family Friendly Employer Award

I am on the Board of a wonderful agency in town called Children Youth and Family Services.  Each year we present two awards, one recognizing an individual in the community for their work with children and a second to a company that has implemented policies that promote a family friendly work culture.  Following is a more formal description of each award and instructions on how to make a nomination.  Please share this with friends and others in the community.  Thanks, Ed Fowler.

Children, Youth & Family Services is seeking nominations for two awards to be presented at its annual Community Breakfast in April 2010. Visit www.cyfs.org to download a nomination form.  Deadline for submission is February 12, 2010.

Do You Know A Child Advocate?

The 2010 John L. Snook Child Advocate Award honors an individual who has demonstrated over time a continuing commitment to the well-being of children and families in the community and to the advancement of children's issues through volunteer or professional services and/or public advocacy.

Is Your Employer Family-Friendly?

The 2010 Mitch Van Yahres Family-Friendly Employer Award honors an employer with practices that instill a family-friendly work culture. Only organizations and businesses are eligible (not individuals) and only employees may nominate.
