Hello team, I'm a long time reader, first time poster.

I'm in the process of FINALLY getting around to upgrading my DSL connection to something much faster. It appears as though in the Tampa Bay area I've got two choices: BightHouse or Verizon (FiOS). I've done the package comparison and in my case they are roughly equal over time.

Does anyone have any real-world experience with these services that I can learn from? I'm especially interested in outages and support - I just hate waiting on the phone forever!

Let me know how your experiences have been so that I don't end up making the wrong choice!
