Welcome

Welcome to the Second Life group at the new fastcompany.com. This group is for anyone who is already participating in, considering participation in, or just curious about doing business in virtual worlds (web 2.0/3.0). Second Life is the largest and best example of this type of environment, more can be learned about SL at http://www.secondlife.com.

I am nearing one full year of involvement with this innovative platform, and find it to be as compelling and full of future (and current) potential as it was when I first arrived.

My particular interest is in non-profit activities, but I am interested in any serious application of the technology.

I hope this group will become a gathering place for forward thinking businesspeople, entrepreneurs and social activists, and that we will use it to translate great new ideas learned via Fast Company and other sources into a vitual and dynamic extension of our corporate missions.
