Delphi's Upper School Drama Department produces two major annual
productions (one for Thanksgiving and one for Parents Weekend), as well
as several other performances produced throughout the school year.
Student involvement goes well beyond acting. Student participation
includes set design, choreography, music composition, assistant
directing, and even playwriting.
Recent productions from the Delphi Upper School Drama Department include Cyrano Debergerac, Footloose, Shakespeare's Romeo & Juliet, Pride & Prejudice, The Philadephia Story, Moliére's The Flying Doctor, and O'Henry's The Gift of the Magi.
Delphi's Middle School Drama Department produces one major annual production at
Parents Weekend. Even at the Middle School level, student involvement
extends beyond acting. Middle School students participate in set
design, backstage props, lighting and sound, and may assist in
directing. The purpose of the Middle School Drama Department is to
produce plays that challenge each student's skills and ready them for
participation in the Upper School plays.
Recent productions from the Delphi Middle School Drama Department include Jerome Lawrence’s Inside a Kid’s Head, Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night’s Dream, selected tales from The Arabian Nights, and Booth Tarkinton’s Monsieur Beaucair.
