The fifth in a series of Ten Top Tips to make your online profile work harder than you do… Tip 5: Talk to me! Talk to people online - literally. Use tools like www.utterz.com to let people hear your voice and connect with you as another person with something to say… Your online profile is your first, and often your last chance, to make a positive and credible impression online. It’s a combination of a sales pitch, a personal presentation, a business card, a brochure, a personal statement, a list of recommendations, a mini web-site, and a wave from across the room. It has a lot of work to do. Further tips at http://digitalbiographer.com

For a sense of how David uses Utterz, check out http://www.utterz.com/~h-davidpetherick/profile.php -- he even expands on this tip in an audio format! If Twitter is a form of microblogging, Utterz is a form of micropodcasting, perhaps.

Thanks for the plug, Heath. I was being a little behind putting myself forward there...
"Utterz is a form of micropodcasting." Yeah. Sure there's a snappier name to be created for that, but it does remind me very much of Twitter in its immediacy and mobile flexibility. [ http://twitter.com/clarocada ]
Utterz also has, like FC, a community growing, and I'm anticipating FedEx delivering a little gift from the team at Utterz (A Bessie), as they wanted to thank me for helping to promote them in Europe and the UK. Nice touch.
Can we expect FC to have some European or UK-centric content as a result of the growth in the community? I hope so - indeed, it'll be good to see how you can grow FC as a global AND local entity, that's as much Swedish as Southern, Milan as Massachussets.
Thanks for the input.
PS :You can hear my audio by just clicking on the G10-Tip5.mp3 link above - next time I'll use a more descriptive filename.
