There are 3 basic principles I’d like you
to learn about today to help you understand the Network Marketing
Industry.  They are as follows and unlike
traditional business, the MLM industry applies all 3 principles to build the
business:

1.     LEVERAGE

2.     RESIDUAL INCOME

3.     DUPLICATION

In the MLM industry “Leverage” is
KING.  Here’s what I mean… we all have
the same 24 hours in a day so let’s apply the principle of leverage here in a
typical 24 hour day of the life of an MLM person.  Imagine that in the course of the 24 hours
you can achieve quite a lot of things… you can have many telephone calls to
prospects, you can have many personal face-to-face meetings, you can attend
some business presentations and seminars, and of course you can read an
informative book or listen to a CD or view a DVD that can give you greater
knowledge.

Now, let’s assume that you have just
introduced your company, products and business opportunity to a friend who
joins your team.  Well, now you have 2
people who each have 24 hours… so together you have 48 hours… OK, let’s now
introduce 2 more people into this mix… someone you introduced and someone your
friend introduced to this new team. 
Well, you now have 4 people each having 24 hours available for a total
of 96 hours.  Can you imagine how much
can be accomplished during those 96 hours?

That’s called LEVERAGE… you are using the
principle of leverage of “time”.  Instead
of being limited to what YOU alone can accomplish in 24 hours now there are 4
people who can accomplish so much more. 
When you apply that to conducting business, be it for meetings,
presentations or even “sales”, you’ve now got leverage on your side!  Hey, that’s only 4 people… what if it was 20
people?  Imagine the possibilities that
can be achieved in that leveraged time.

The Network Marketing business model is so
powerful and unique because of this concept of leverage because you can
leverage your time and benefit from a percentage of other people’s efforts that
are on your team… obviously this can substantially increase your potential
income result.  Imagine when you have a
HUGE team and you’re earning a small percentage on everyone in your team!

Can you imagine receiving a percentage of
everyone in your team’s productivity? 
WOW… that is powerful!  That’s the
power of MLM Leverage.  Now apply the
same principle to leverage of time… when you’re getting up and starting your
MLM business say in the USA, you may have team members who have just finished a
day of activity and are getting ready for bed in Australia, or at 3PM in the
USA people on your team are just getting together for a business presentation
in Lisbon or in London.  The POWER of leverage
means your business is working around the clock and potentially around the
world!

Better yet, when you’re on vacation in
Hawaii your team is busy working the business in different parts of the world
while you’re relaxing on the beach… now that’s a business that utilizes the
power of Leverage!

I love this next one… it’s called RESIDUAL
INCOME.  This really hits home for me,
having represented top recording artists and actors I watched them earn
fortunes through this concept of “royalties” or “residual income”. 

Simply put it’s the income that continues
to pour in once you’ve created the work that generates the “residual
income”.  Just think about a recording
artist who years ago recorded a great song and today the song lives on by
others who are also recording that song… and all the records that continue to
sell with that song.  Every time the song
is played on the radio, in a commercial or on TV, or recorded by someone the
original creator receives a royalty (also known as residual income).  Unfortunately, I wasn’t a song writer and
therefore never had the opportunity of earning a residual income.

UNTIL I jumped into the MLM industry… and
over the last 20 years my wife Ann and I have earned what I refer to as
“royalty riches”.  It’s really quite
lovely to continue receiving an income for a very very long time!  The benefits of the “residual income” usually
happen when your business is a few years old and you’ve built a substantial
organization, each person contributing a little percentage to the overall
income that continues to arrive in your bank account every month!

Lastly we have the wonderful benefits of
DUPLICATION.  Many refer to this as
“geometric growth”.  I like the simple
example of I sponsor you, you sponsor your friend Bob, he sponsors his friend
Mary, and she sponsors her friends Mike and Steve, and they each sponsor
others… and so on and so on.  I’m getting
a little excited here by just writing about the principle of duplication.

Nowhere in any industry is it as prevalent
and as powerful as in the Network Marketing industry.  We all say this is a business of duplication…
I teach you to do something, and you teach the next person, and so on, and so
on… imagine the possibilities of this “geometric growth”.

Look at this little example… imagine you
introduce 5 people to your business opportunity, and they each introduce 5
people, and so on… well, if you and your team each sponsored 5 new people into
the business, then on the 7th level you would have in excess of
78,000 TEAM MEMBERS in your group!

What if that took you and your team 3 to 5
years to accomplish that?  Would that
generate a BIG CHECK every month?  Would
that “RESIDUAL INCOME” be worth focusing and building your business over the
few years for the creation of what I like to refer to as “WALK AWAY INCOME”… or
even “Drinking From The Coconut Income”. 

My friends, the power and mega force of
these principles when applied to business is absolutely mind blowing… this is
the only industry that I know of where this exists… where the average person,
with or without an education can create huge financial success and the benefits
of financial freedom.

I will leave you with these parting
thoughts… Success is within your reach… just get out there and do what you need
to do to claim your piece of the “residual income” for you and your family!
