Recent developments in new media journalistic culture, and cyber journalism are rapidly reshaping the media landscape. This has turned the old models for delivering news and politics information in a tail spin, most will go the way of the dinosaur. Online journalists that are literal news watch dogs keep content constantly updated and up to the minute, print media never had a chance.

The internet has multiplied the sources and volume of news, entertainment, and advertising available to society. At the same time print media newspapers are closing their doors and laying off writers and editors by the hundreds.

The iron grip that traditional newspapers once had on delivering the news is history with the advent of the internet, many traditional newspapers are struggling financially to make ends meet as the delivery of news has went into hyper drive and many old line newspapers do not have the staff or the resources to keep up with Hyper media juggernauts like Examiner.com or Huffington Post. Giants like CNN are even trying to get in on the act by launching their iReport section dedicated to citizen journalists.

The new media campaign utilized by Barack Obama and the millions spent on internet advertising during his run for  United States President effectively sealed the deal and closed the door forever on traditional hard copy newspapers strangle hold on advertisers dollars. Advertisers discovered the writing on the wall and have moved vast amounts of their budgets towards online advertising and laser targeted traffic to push products like J.Crew on Michelle Obama focused websites, the print media model is broken and old school print media players like Rupert Murdoch are searching for answers to try and survive the fast paced hyper news explosion that online journalists help power.

The internet moves information fast to a global audience, this is your chance to get in on the ground floor and launch a succesful career, people all over the world want their information fast, they want it to be brief, and they are not willing to wait until tomorrow to read about it.
