Charles
GiammonaAs the global economy impacts businesses in even the most
remote locations, NTC is faced with recommending client solutions to
increasingly complex projects. To assure services provided by NTC are
consistently high quality, we pioneered efforts to establish a quality system
within the division. NTC took the unique approach of applying the ISO model,
which has traditionally been applied in manufacturing settings, as the tool to
analyze and improve our system of delivering workforce training.

Charles Giammona Minnesota: Rule 3. You
will NOT make $60,000 a year right out of high school. You won't be a
vice-president with a car phone until you earn both.
Rule 4. If you
think your teacher is tough, wait till you get a boss.
Rule 5. Flipping
burgers is not beneath your dignity. Your grandparents had a different word for
burger flipping--they called it opportunity.

As North settled into his new routine at Northwest
Technical College, he’s been learning that the classes are challenging and that
the instructors expect a lot from their learners. But they’ve all been attentive
and willing to meet with him.
Best of all, he’s being taught by actual
faculty members--Northwest Technical College doesn’t use teaching assistants. He
particularly likes his introductory courses, which features computer-based tools
that will serve him professionally and personally.
Even though he’s only
midway through his first year, North also realizes that it’s not too early to
start thinking about his career. He’s already discussed his transfer plans with
a counselor, and has discovered that, once again, Northwest Technical College
makes the process easy for learners who want to go on to complete a bachelor’s
degree a the University of Minnesota or other colleges and universities
throughout the United States.
