Reputation Managment: A Must

In today's social media world more and more of us will discover that content has emerged on our search rankings that we did not create and do not want.  But more than that, content that is potentially harmful to our personal or professional "brand".

Our names are our identity.  Our identity becomes open season once we become active on social media networks such as Linkedin and Facebook.

We all want our online identity to be a true reflection of who we are in terms of reputation.

The first step to creating the online brand we want for ourselves is to ensure we are creating our own content and managing it properly for search rankings.

Writing blogs, not just under our own name, but on sites such as this one, Fast Company, are key to keeping the image and brand we want to project when someone searches on our name.

Search your name.  What do you see?  If you do not see a 1st page filled with YOU, and the brand identity of YOU that you want, then both your professional and personal reputation are at stake.

Take the time to  write more content.  Create  profiles that are accurate and complete.  Fast Company is a good place to start!
