On September 16, 2008, Melissa Ferrick – an openly gay
musician and songwriter from New England – released “Goodbye Youth” for
download on iTunes. Since then, it has gained numerous positive reviews from a
wide range of press and bloggers. Additionally,
her fan base applauds the album, which is primarily acoustic-based. These fans continue
to turn up in droves at her steady schedule of gigs across the county.

Melissa Ferrick released her first record at age 22
with Atlantic Records. After she released three albums on Indie Records, in
2000 she launched her own label, Right on Records. She has also released a
self-produced documentary film about the last decade of her life spent touring,
titled “Decade.”
