Customizing Your Cambridge Connect Profile Page

If you look at various profile pages on Cambridge Who's Who Connect, you may
notice that the color scheme and information are different from your page or
the Cambridge Who’s Who Connect homepage. That’s because our members have
customized them with their own themes, including a different layout, choice of
colors and additional information. Want to customize your page to display your
interests and personality? Let’s get going.

To change Your Theme,
select the Theme link under your picture in the left-hand sidebar. This will
take you to a new page with 57 templates to choose from. Once you select a
theme, you can tweak it to your liking by altering the "Theme
Settings" located under the list of options. Once you have made your
changes select "Save" or "Apply Cambridge Who’s Who Connect’s
Theme" to start over. If you have advanced knowledge of CSS (cascading
style sheets), you can use the "Advanced" tab to make changes as
well.

Your Welcome Banner
is the line along the top of your profile above your photo that says, "My
Page." To change this simply scroll over the banner and once it’s
highlighted, click on it and you will be able to change the text.

Most of the sections in your profile can be moved around and
arranged to your liking. To move a section, hover your pointer over the title
bar of the section you wish to move. If you are able to move it, your pointer
will change to a directional arrow. Then, simply click and drag the section to
the desired spot. Note: Profile sections can only be moved to certain areas
within your page; you will see a symbol indicating you cannot place the section
if you are unable to move it to the desired location.

Options: Each
section has an edit button in the title bar. When you click on this button you
will see the options available to you for that particular section. You can set
how many listings to see in Latest Activity, whether or not to view details in
My Discussions, which RSS Feed you would like to import, how many posts from
your blog you would like displayed at one time, etc.

The Cambridge Who’s
Who Connect Box
can best be described as a free text box for you to insert
additional information, widgets, advertising, images or anything else that
would make your page more interesting and engaging. For example, there is a handy widget
that lists the articles being published on all of the Cambridge Who’s Who
blogs. You can scroll through the blogs and read the headlines or click on any
headline to be taken directly to the entire article. Widgets are simple to
create and use. Select the "Add a Widget" link when editing this
section to learn more!

That’s all there is to it! Have a question about customizing
your page? Leave a comment here, send me a message or post your question in the
"Using Cambridge Who’s Who Connect" forum.
