Twitter Gold Rush is On

Do you own a powerful Twitter domain?

The word "domains" is not the correct phrase but the idea is similar. Now that Twitter search is being used to find the "best" tips, stories, ideas or articles, Twitter is morphing into a mini Google search engine. This is a great opportunity for EARLY ADOPTERS to make a stake for better Internet visibility.

Please. Please. If you have not opened a Twitter account, open at least TWO today. The first should be an account with your name. The second should be with your business name. Once you have those two accounts setup, you have protected your most valuable online business assets.

Twitter Names

If you could buy any domain name, what would you buy.

  • For a car dealer maybe www.usedcars.com.
  • For an insurance salesperson maybe www.lifeinsurance.com
  • For a shoe retailers maybe www.shoes.com

You get the idea. Those domain names are all gone but TWITTER NAMES are still wide open.

That means you can create a TWITTER account with POWERFUL keyword or phrases.

I created a few. One I created was for my Automotive Tweets called "automotiveseo". The idea is simple. Now that consumers can search twitter for ANY keyword, why not have an account name with a keyword or phrase that would bring your business in front of new customers.

Picking Twitter Account Names

If you type "automotive seo" into Twitter search, you can't miss me. So think of your BEST phrase to attract new customers and setup a Twitter account with that name and start using it. Use it to become a thought leader in your field. The tweets can provide a stream of on-topic articles that people will want to read.

Some of the top of my head examples:

  • chevyboston
  • phoenixhonda
  • newyorkfitness
  • insuranceagent
  • ledlighting
  • regulatoryaffairs
  • napavalleywine
  • nycrealestate
  • ticketsales
  • carinsurance
