The Ford Fusion Hybrid can reach speeds up to 47 mph while operating on electric power alone.  The Fusion’s Smart Gauge design is enabled to help the driver reach maximum fuel efficiency by calculating the average miles per gallon as well as instant miles per gallon.  Ford has driven the vehicle more than 1,400 miles on one tank of gas, utilizing conservative driving techniques.
