Second post - Searching for inspiration from my basement

« Blog death

Ok i will stop counting my posts now that Laurel LaFlamme has saved this blog from death.

I've never blogged before (hence the relization that a blog has a name and a post has a name ... and changing my blog name) but am thinking this may be a decent vehicle to keeping me in touch with this site, and keep me off of youtube (which is more addicting then reality shows).  I usually start with something relevant and advancing (e.g., Warren Buffet's MBA talk http://www.youtube.com/v/DfuXKpMFUjc&hl=en&fs=1 But a few clicks late I'm watching how to build a coke bottle rocket with mentos (link omitted as a result of exterme will power).

So, I'm attempting on having a meaningful / rewarding career while living in a small town in Canada around my family and fantastic surroundings (for outdoor enthusiasts www.saulttourism.com/tourism ).  I managed to convince my employer to keep me on, when my wife and I decided to move so my daughter can grow up with her immediate family around.

The lack of human (well, like mided individuals) contact can be tough in my basement, and the pull to colour with my 19 month old daughter in the next room pretty great.  Did I mention youtube?

So, i'm hoping to use this site / blog to connect, find inspiration, write, think, and continue the career advancing part of my life ... now i can go colour.
