According to a surveydone by bpovoice.com (a BPO specific social network) 49 % of theoutsourcing professionals believed that the proposed cut on tax incentives willimpact the Indian outsourcing industry adversely.
As many as 32 % ofsurveyed were confident that Indian outsourcing industry will have no or lessimpact post, “Obama's new policy” even after their tax benefits are takenoff as American work force would still be an expensive propositionfor lot of companies in the present scenario
19 % of therespondents chose , not to comment probably because they were not sureabout the nature of the policy that will come into place and how much itmight impact the present India BPO scenario. They preferred a wait and watchapproach.
The survey team got response from 600 people across the globe whoare directly or indirectly related to the outsourcing industry expressing theirviews on some of the critical questions asked to them during the survey.
The main finding of the surveywas that large number of people were confidentand believed that India will be able to survive the ongoing slump in themarket.
