Toyota will offer the new 2010 Toyota 4Runner in three trim levels:  SR5, Trail, and Limited models.

The SR5 model will offer a third-row seating option that folds flat into the floor allowing for greater cargo carrying capacity, a feature the previous generation’s third-row seating does not offer.  The Trail Model is well equipped to be a true off-road capable SUV offering an Adaptive Terrain Management System (A-TMS), locking rear differential, and a special Crawl Control feature to provide exceptional low-end torque.  The Limited model of the new 2010 Toyota 4Runner offers luxurious amenities like premium stitched leather, Navigation system, and a full-time four-wheel drive system.

The Toyota Boston-New England region consisting of Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont, Maine, and Rhode Island will receive the new 2010 Toyota 4Runner with Toyota’s improved 4.0L V6 engine producing 268 horsepower and 273 lb/ft of torque while still improving fuel economy.

Acton Toyota reports that Toyota will also include their new Safety Connect system on the new 2010 Toyota 4Runner.  Safety Connect, which is currently offered only on the 2010 Toyota Prius, links drivers who need assistance to a 24 hour response center by way of an Emergency Assistance Button labeled “SOS.”  The response center can then quickly and efficiently determine the location of the driver and vehicle and send appropriate help thanks to Safety Connect’s embedded cellular and GPS technology.
