Atlanta, GA...a great recommendation for breakfast

I travel a lot for work. Because of that I find myself in places that are sometimes less-than-desirable for breakfast or whatever meal. I hope to blog more here about places that are on or off the beaten path and deliver a great meal within a per diem.

When I was in Atlanta I had the priviledge of dining at the Metro Diner. At 229 Peachtree St. NE, it's very close to the Sheraton in which I stayed and on the way between there and the convention center. When you think about the hotel buffet costing a whopping $16 before tip, this option is much better on the wallet and very filling. I ate there when I first arrived in Atlanta and went back the next day for a later breakfast.

While your omelet (with potatoes) will be about 12 dollars with a coffee, it's going to be much fresher than the eggs in the chafing dishes you can find elsewhere in that neighborhood. It's filling and tasty. Not too greasy, but a jewel in the neighborhood.

Open 24 hours, and with a dessert case that looks amazing as well; I'm sure this place would be a hit late night too. One of the other guys down there had some of their cheesecake and said it was awesome.
