Inside, families with one or two children should find more than enough
room in the first two rows, with our test car's 50/50-split third-row
seat serving as a sort of emergency backup for kids. Legroom was
sufficient up front for even our tallest driver, and the telescoping
steering column assured a good driving position for all. The second row
reclines for greater comfort and slides forward to provide more legroom

Saturn Outlook XR AWD
The 2008 Saturn Outlook is kin to the other General Motors crossovers
based on the same Lambda vehicle platform: the Buick Enclave, GMC
Acadia and the newest member of the family, the 2009 Chevrolet
Traverse, all of which effectively take the place of minivans for the
automaker. Even though the base Outlook XE starts out as the least
expensive of the three (at roughly ,000), once you step up to the
higher XR trim level (which is what our test car was), add all-wheel
drive (like our test vehicle) and start ticking off must-have and
like-to-have options packages (also on our test vehicle), the ticket
price blows through the ,000 range. We decided to see how this ,000
crossover from Saturn shaped up.

Volvo XC60 T6 - Performance
With
the XC60's formidable 4,247-pound as-tested curb weight, though, that
turbo-6 has its work cut out for it. We clocked our test vehicle from
zero to 60 mph in 7.1 seconds and past the quarter-mile in 15.2 seconds
at 93.8 mph. These numbers are about midpack for a small luxury
crossover. The Volvo's pudginess also tugs down fuel economy — EPA
estimates are 16 mpg city and 22 mpg highway, which is worse than most
rivals can manage. In our time with the XC60, we observed 15.6 mpg in
mixed driving.
