Everyone that is thinking of going green imediatley looks at a Hybrid vehicle. The most popluar at the moment is the Toyota Prius but now Honda just introduced the 2010 Honda Insight. This is a huge step from the Civic Hybrid and the previous Honda Insight which was the first Hybrid vehicle that was produced for retail sale in the US. But does it make sense to to buy a Hybrid when you can get a vehicle like the Honda Fit? I am the COO for Brickell Honda www.brickellhonda.com in Miami Florida and I see many customers coming into my dealership looking for the new Honda Insight and not thinking about the Honda Fit. The Honda Fit is econmical, about $5000 less than the Insight and about $9000 less than the Prius. The difference in gas mileage is not that significant. Don't get me wrong the new 2010 Honda Insight is a great car and we are selling them at our dealership Brickell Honda as fast as we get them. But would it make as much sense to get a Honda Fit for less money and get almost the same gas mileage.
