It was Siddhique again who introduced her in Kollywood through the film Engal Anna. Vijayakanth produced this film and he himself was the hero of the film. While she was doing the movie Engal Anna she got an offer for the film Aei in which she paired with actor Sarath Kumar. Her next movie Englishkaran was with actor Sathyaraj. Once again she paired with actor Sarath Kumar in the film Chanakya. Her dance is the song “Arjuna Arjuna” stole the hearts of the youth.

Namitha’s current releases are Aanai (Co star, Arjun) and Bambharakannaley (Co star, Srikanth). Namitha has also captured the attention of Telugu movie lovers. Her performance in the movies Sontam and Gemini fascinated the Telugu audience. Her other Telugu films include Nayakudu, Manthirikudu Maharaju and SP Nayak.
