Mobile Use of Fast Company site

| posted by Jim Sideras

I think that many of the Fast Company members will no longer be the "traditional" PC users. Instead, they are much more mobile and agile, with their phone/PC at their side. I find myself surfing as much on my mobile as my notebook (forget desktops). However, the new site is not the most user friendly for mobile use. I use both the Motorola Q (phone internet) and also a PPC 6700 (Wi-Fi internet)

I want something to load fast to keep me up-to-date and yet have that familiar usage and style.

I was wondering if others feel the same way? My local newspaper has a mobile version of their site that works perfect and I find myself going their for quick news. The same should be for FC.

I agree. I use a BlackBerry World Edition (latest model) and cannot access the information from the FC website quickly. It actually would be great to have a version of the FC website built similarly to the gmail or facebook (heaven forbid I suggest it). Facebook's mobile version allows conversations between members (or blog postings in this case) to be updated on the handheld and by the handheld. You don't get the entire site, but just the most used pieces or the pieces you, as a member, are actively involved in.
I'm sure this is not a simple undertaking, but I find that my time for updated or responding to blogs is when I have down time or am in a waiting place (starbucks line) while on the go.
