I don't give a flying fish about what computer they use, what coffee they drink or if they would be someone I'd like to have a beer with.
I care about the FACT that they are both part of "one of the right wings of the one political party in the United States, the Property Party", as Gore Vidal put it.
OMG, I laughed so hard when I read that comment. Barack symbolizes to Americans all that a Mac represents (coolness, innovation, collaboration), and ditto to the PC likeness to Hillary.
Maybe in terms of branding and style, but Obama definitely has a larger share of the vote than Apple does of the computer market.
I saw the NYT article--it was really funny to see far people read into the analogy (and how much they betrayed their own like/dislike of Apple and Microsoft).
Right, Obama can get used by anyone regardless of whether or not that person has a brain. He doesn't have the experience to know when he's being used--ie, let's go talk to all the foreign dictators--sure, you do that, Barack!
a sad statement for both ... Obama seems less elitist and self-important than most Macaholics and Hillary is definitely more reliable than Windows. I use both and know, despite advertised hype, neither system is genuinely stable nor secure ... I hope that Barack and Hillary are neither.

Carlyle BradfordBoth Hillary and Barack are televisions. They are boring, and should not be compared to emerging internet technologies.
