Quality Is Job (Day) One

The son of a colleague of mine started a new job today, and my team member's excitement for her son got me thinking about what it's like to start a new job — and to want to make a strong impression right out of the gate.

Regardless of whether you're taking charge of the top job of a company or in your first 60 days in any new role, there are things you can do to become a star at work.

There are also things you shouldn't do.
