    The idea of view count is not a poisonous one. It doesn't matter how long your episode is you still need individual people to watch it. Clearly - they are not going to double their view count by halving the length of their videos... No wonder they aren't particularly successful.

    They wouldn't double the view count for the individual videos, but they would double their channel's TOTAL view count as the same number of people would watch two of their videos instead of just one.  And they ARE particularly successful; currently ranked #15.  They are one of the most successful youtube channels.
