Google Maps Grabs Satellite Data For Black Marble View Of Earth

NASA's haunting images of the earth at night have been purloined by Google. You can now explore the beautiful footage from the Suomi NPP satellite.

Don't, however, expect to be able to pinpoint the exact lamp-post outside your window, you know, the one that keeps you awake all night and which acts as a homing beacon for all the leaky neighborhood dogs. The imaging isn't quite that hi-res enough, I'm afraid.
