In addition to the philanthropic work Prince of Peace performs abroad,
the Prince of Peace Catholic Church provides a variety of services for
its own local community and church members in Plano, Texas. The Paulist
Fathers, an American order with an evangelical mission, established the
Disciples in Mission Program at the Prince of Peace Catholic Church.
This program facilitates a unique opportunity to meet in small groups to
discuss discipleship over a 6-week period of time during Lent.

The church also offers an exceptionally elegant and peaceful community
center for Plano residents. Moreover, the Resurrection Garden is a
beautifully landscaped space provided to care for members' and their
families' cremated remains. The Garden is designed to facilitate
tranquility, reverence, and reflection.

Interested members can become involved with the Prince of Peace Catholic
Church in numerous ways. Some of its outreach and service efforts
include The Angels in Need, a program dedicated to making clothing items
for premature and high-need infants; a Blood Drive; the Boy, Girl, and
Cub Scouts; and the Prison Ministry, in which members visit the Lew
Sterritt Justice Center. Prince of Peace also coordinates various social
engagements for women, singles, new members, mothers, and parents whose
children recently moved out of the home.

In 2006, Prince of Peace was awarded the National Blue Ribbon of
Excellence from the National Education Agency for its superior education
programs.
