Films are made up of a series of individual images called frames. When
these images are shown rapidly in succession, a viewer has the illusion
that motion is occurring. The viewer cannot see the flickering between
frames due to an effect known as persistence of vision, whereby the eye
retains a visual image for a fraction of a second after the source has
been removed. Viewers perceive motion due to a psychological effect
called beta movement.

The act of making a film can, in and of itself, be considered a work of
art, on a different level from the film itself, as in the films of
Werner Herzog.

Bill Starkov Realisations :An 1895
advertisement for a weight gain product. At the turn of the century,
there were few career choices for women in business; however,
advertising was one of the few. Since women were responsible for most of
the purchasing done in their household, advertisers and agencies
recognized the value of women's insight during the creative process. In
fact, the first American advertising to use a sexual sell was created by
a woman – for a soap product. Although tame by today's standards, the
advertisement featured a couple with the message "The skin you love to
touch".

Advertising and information are increasingly hard to distinguish from
each other. “The borders between advertising and media …. become more
and more blurred…. What August Fischer, chairman of the board of Axel
Springer publishing company considers to be a ‘proven partnership
between the media and advertising business’ critics regard as nothing
but the infiltration of journalistic duties and freedoms”. According to
RTL Group former executive Helmut Thoma “private stations shall not and
cannot serve any mission but only the goal of the company which is the
‘acceptance by the advertising business and the viewer’. The setting of
priorities in this order actually says everything about the ‘design of
the programmes’ by private television.”

He is also a producer on the reality series HUMAN TRAFFICKING along with
8th Wonder Entertainment. We see this series as a cross between Dog the
Bounty Hunter and The First 48. This series has the potential to become
a franchise with many years of success. The talent that we have for the
show are experts in the field of Human Trafficking and have worked on
over 6000 cases. The investigators have identified a Human Trafficking
ring in Albuquerque, New Mexico that they are ready to go into and bust.
This show has already been pre-approved for sale by Endeavor Talent
Agency at the following networks: Spike, A&E, TLC, History, Nat Geo.

A film crew is a group of people hired by a film company, employed
during the "production" or "photography" phase, for the purpose of
producing a film or motion picture. Crew are distinguished from cast,
the actors who appear in front of the camera or provide voices for
characters in the film. The crew interacts with but is also distinct
from the production staff, consisting of producers, managers, company
representatives, their assistants, and those whose primary
responsibility falls in pre-production or post-production phases, such
as writers and editors. Communication between production and crew
generally passes through the director and his/her staff of assistants.
Medium-to-large crews are generally divided into departments with well
defined hierarchies and standards for interaction and cooperation
between the departments. Other than acting, the crew handles everything
in the photography phase: props and costumes, shooting, sound, electrics
(i.e., lights), sets, and production special effects. Caterers (known
in the film industry as "craft services") are usually not considered
part of the crew.

Advertising research is a specialized form of research that works to
improve the effectiveness and efficiency of advertising. It entails
numerous forms of research which employ different methodologies.
Advertising research includes pre-testing (also known as copy testing)
and post-testing of ads and/or campaigns—pre-testing is done before an
ad airs to gauge how well it will perform and post-testing is done after
an ad airs to determine the in-market impact of the ad or campaign on
the consumer. Continuous ad tracking and the Communicus System are
competing examples of post-testing advertising research types.
