If you are a Caucasian woman, what do you do when you are at your wits end about what to do for your Black child's hair? Shampooing your daughter's hair is not rocket science. However, when it comes to ouchless combing of her hair, and ouchless braiding, it can become a recurring nightmare. Thank goodness for treebraids.

One particular frantic phone call for Black hair solutions resonates with us.

A concerned mother of an adopted child diligently sought after Black hair solutions with her local braid shops, and hair salons. Several phone calls, and several trips to some of them.  Her inquiries met with shocking disdain, and sheer rudeness by some of them. Even from some hair supply stores!  Needless to say, her efforts to find solutions had the same end result: nothing.  It seemed that to take a few minutes to assist this concerned mother was too much to ask.  I answered her questions about best products to use on her daughter's hair, best hair to buy/ use, best braiding styles that are age appropriate.

What followed was unexpected and left me speechless: this concerned mother almost broke down as she kept telling me: "You are a Godsend", "You are such a nice person", "I was meant to find you".

Treebraids are a new weave style that is growing in popularity, including with pre-teen girls, both Black, White, and Yellow.

Individual treebraids are recommended over cornrow treebraids for young girls.  This treebraids variety lasts longer, and Mommy won't have to go through hair nightmares to often any more.
