New job category - Professional Responsibility Officer:

Are you still looking for a job?  Well, here’s a brand new one that is ideal for people who have been kicked-out of the workplace.  By now you have surely developed the right qualities for this job - a dollop of humility and a thicker skin.

The job comes with a cool title: Professional Responsibility Officer.  Your job is to say, “I am responsible” and to mean it.  What with no one being responsibility for anything anymore, you will be in high demand.

According to testimony to congress recently, no one is responsible for the banking fiasco.  Nor for the healthcare mess;  the state of the roads; for unemployment; corruption; infidelities; on and on, ad nauseam.  And yet, when it comes to human behavior and human systems, I naively believe that someone is always to blame.

Talking of blame, don’t forget to add this tag line to your new business card: The blame stops here.
