Washington DC Hyundai Dealer Airs SoberRide PSA for St Patrick’s Day

Leading up to St. Patrick's Day, Washington DC Hyundai Dealer, Alexandria Hyundai, will air a public service announcement encouraging Washingtonians to enjoy a great St. Patrick's Day, but if they are drinking, to leave the driving to someone else. 

Specifically, Alexandria Hyundai's public service announcement will feature the Washington Regional Alcohol Program's (WRAP) SoberRide, a program that affords individuals 21 years of age or older a free cab ride home (up to a $50 fare) the evening of St. Patrick's Day.

WRAP's SoberRide, called one of the nation's most successful free cab ride programs for would-be impaired drivers, has helped to ensure greater Washington, DC residents have a safe way home on high-risk holidays. Since 1993, WRAP has provided over 43,000 safe rides home.  WRAP's 2010 St. Patrick’s Day SoberRide program will be offered from 4:00 pm, Wednesday, March 17 to 4:00 am, Thursday, March 18, 2010. 

To receive a free cab ride home (up to a $50.00 fare), Washington residents can call 800-200-8294 (TAXI) or #8294 (TAXI) from any AT&T wireless phone.  Individuals wishing to utilize the SoberRide Program should not call a taxi company directly for SoberRide service as the ride will not be covered under this program.  Individuals must be 21 or older to use the SoberRide service.
